The City of Osborne offers several local business incentives in addition to 
our modern conveniences, such as a state of the art fiber-optic communication system which allows high-speed internet and phone access. The city is also serviced by the Kyle Railroad, as well as, a municipal airport with a 4,000+ feet, lighted asphalt runway. The city also operates its own power plant which means no extended power outages for businesses.

Property available for business is the High Plains Addition between 2nd and 6th Streets on the north edge of Osborne. This area has easy access to U. S Highways 24 & 281. The area is zoned for light industrial OR general commercial business. Property available for heavy industrial business is located in the Industrial Park on the east edge of Osborne. 

Residential property available is located in the Sunset Addition located on the Western edge of Osborne, north of Main Street.

The Osborne Revolving Loan Fund began in 1989 through the Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant. The purpose of the fund is to stimulate private investment and create or retain permanent jobs for the citizens of the City of Osborne. The fund provides fixed rate financing for new and expanding businesses. 

Since the initial loan to Osborne Industries in 1989, approximately two million dollars has been loaned out to 28 new or established businesses.

Osborne County Neighborhood Revitalization Plan

This plan is designed to encourage expansion and/ or repair to existing businesses and homes, as well as, new construction. With an approved application, landowners that improve the appraised value of their property by rehabilitation or new construction are eligible for property tax rebates over a period of TWO years.
