Mid Kansas Electric Company (MKEC) supplies a 345 KV power line into the city.  The City of Osborne also owns and operates its own
power plant to shave peak cost savings.  It also provides emergency back-up and self-sustaining power for the entire City during outages.
Current rates for residential: First 100 KWH @ $ .2225/KWH, Next 400 KWH @ $ .1550/KWH, Over 500 KWH @ $ .1475, Minimum $22.25
Business rates: First 150 KWH @ $ .2700/KWH, Next 1050 KWH @ $ .1730, Over 1200 KWH $ .1670/KWH, Minimum $40.50
Power rates: First 1000 KWH @ $ .2050/KWH, Next 4000 KWH @ $ .1400/KWH, Over 5000 KWH @ $.1200/KWH, Minimum $205.00

Both water and sewer are supplied and owned by the City of Osborne.  The water supply is operated through ground water wells.
Water rates: First 400 cu.ft.is $17.00, Every 100 cu.ft.after is $1.85  Minimum $17.00
Sewer rates: First 400 cu.ft. is $8.00, Every 100 cu.ft. after is $ .85  Minimum $ 8.00
