Free Lot Application
The City of Osborne is excited to offer free industrial and commercial lots in the Industrial park and High Plains Addition. To be eligible for these lots, you must fill out this application for review by the City of Osborne. Once the application is completed and returned, the applicant will be required to meet with the City and sign an agreement. Once the agreement is signed, construction may begin within the timeframe designated in the agreement.

Industrial/Commercial requirements for free land opportunity:
1) Lots are available for only those businesses qualifying under the City of Osborne
Zoning rules for C-2 (commercial) and I-1 (light industrial) in the High Plains Addition and I-2 (heavy industrial) in the Industrial Park.
2) Must have a business and building plans, available for review.
3) Must sign with a contractor within 6 months of the application approval.
4) Construction must begin within 12 months of the application approval and must be
completed within 24 months.
5) Applicants applying for free land must have three or more full-time employees.
6) Applicant will be responsible for all Title Insurance required.
7) Buildings must meet all zoning and Uniform Building Code regulations.
8) Special Assessments may apply depending on the location of the lot.
9) Other provisions made by the City of Osborne may apply.
* Please note that the High Plains Addition map is platted only. High Plains Addition has Harrison Street completed for block 8 and Block 1 only. Utilities are in place for Block 1, lots 6-9 and Block 8, lots 10-18. Plans are in place for future construction of streets and utilities in the rest of the area.
