Visit Osborne Osborne has so much to offer in one space. Nestled right along the Solomon Valley River, Osborne is a haven to nature lovers and history buffs alike. Did you know that Osborne is located just north of the North American Geodetic Center and just south of the center of the United States? Guess you could say we are the center of attention!
Osborne is located at the junctions of HWY 24 and 281, just 45 minutes north of I-70. The town is rich with history, arts and entertainment. The town offers a little bit of everything from outdoor activities to tours of our historic town.

Outdoor Activites
Take in the natural beauty of Central Kansas. Venture off of I-70 and find out what Osborne has to offer. The hills, coupled with the river and several lakes nearby, make this area the perfect place for bird watching, fishing, hiking and hunting. There are a host of hunting lodges and bed and breakfasts in the area as well. Osborne boasts two 9-hole golf courses. Shady Bend Golf Course is a irrigated tree-lined fairway on the Solomon River. This course offers a driving range and practice green. Call 785.346.2024 for more information. The Osborne Country Club offers a sand green course in the north hills. For tournament dates or fee information call 785.346.2621.
Nearby is the Osborne Gun Club. This shooting range is just northwest of the Shady Bend Golf Course. It offers Trap Range, Pistol Range, Archery Range and a 200-yard Rifle Range. Please contact 785.346.5812 for fee information.
Maybe softball or baseball is more of an interest. The Sandars Baseball Complex has four fields and is ADA accessible. It is maintained by the Osborne Recreation Commission, call 785.346.5611 if you would like tourney information. Osborne also has four parks, a public pool, and walking and bike tours to take advantage of in nice weather. Indoor Activites
Don't miss the Carnegie Research Library, it is listed on both the National and Kansas Registers of Historic Places. Or the Osborne County Courthouse built in 1908, which features several notable stone carvings. There are also tours and a museum available, just stop by the Chamber of Commerce office located on 130 First Street or call toll free 866.346.2670 for information.
